Our Story
Solar Energy Solutions was founded in Kentucky in 2006 with two goals: to build clean energy systems for the future and create good jobs. Over the past years, we have applied our engineering, business, and construction craft backgrounds to the emerging energy transition, helping families and businesses take control of their rising energy costs while transitioning away from fossil fuels.
Today, we install commercial, residential, and agricultural solar systems across much of the Midwest, and in 2023, we opened a subsidiary in Virginia. A calculated and managed growth plan has allowed Solar Energy Solutions to become a big name in the solar industry without losing sight of its founder-owned values.
As we’ve grown, we’ve partnered with leading solar panel and battery manufacturers, including Tesla, Silfab, and Qcell, and have installed over 2,750 solar energy systems. Our two goals haven’t changed; quality service is at the heart of everything we do.

Our Team Sets Us Apart
The Solar Energy Solutions team is highly trained and focused on developing solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems. Our technicians are entirely in-house and carry all relevant licenses and certifications, including PE licenses, Masters and Journeyman electrical licenses, and NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certificates. NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) Board Certification is the gold standard for PV professionals in the renewable energy industry. Solar Energy Solutions has 7 NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professionals on staff, ensuring our installations meet the highest standards.
