In recent years utilities have been vociferous in their attacks on residential solar in the Midwest. Solar Energy Solutions is dedicated to providing solar to customers throughout the Midwest, including both home and small business owners. This has led to our investment of hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past few years to standup for your right to own solar and interconnect with your local grid in a fair and equitable way.
In recent months this work has seen us intimately involved in the first rate cases where a utility is seeking to end solar net metering in both Indiana (Vectren/Centerpoint) and Kentucky (Kentucky Power/AEP). In our efforts we have teamed up with the Kentucky Solar Industries Association (kyseia.org) and IndianaDG (indianadg.net) to intervene in utility rate cases and promote the value of solar. Over the coming months these associations and some of our employees will be actively engaged in understanding utility proposals, asking questions, providing testimony, and advocating for fair rates for privately-owned solar power. We couldn’t do any of this without your help. Your patronage as a customer and trust in SES has been vital to our achievements to date and will be essential as we move forward.
