20 kW Kentucky Solar Install on Louisville Buddhist Temple
As part of a 2015/16 expansion project, the Drepung Gomang Center For Engaging Passion was looking to add extra accommodation and teaching space for visiting monks and course attendees. The building which incorporates 20.0 kW of LG solar modules adheres not only to Feng Shui principles but incorporates a long list of other of environmental features including rain barrels, low usage shower, and toilet systems, full spray foam insulation, heat pumps, high-efficiency double glazing, and full LED lighting systems.
Caring for creation is a central tenet of the Buddhist doctrine as his Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama notes:
