40 kW Residential Install in Evansville, Indiana
This large-scale residential installation was completed in June of 2022 and includes solar on both the home and a barn, with backup storage for essential items in an outage.
Comprised of 118 QCell 340W panels and SMA inverters, this system not only cuts down significantly on the homeowner’s CenterPoint Energy bills, but also provides reliability in an outage with the Tesla Powerwall battery. The system was thoughtfully designed with mixed orientations and daily cycling of the battery to maximize the financial benefits of solar given CenterPoint offers a very low net metering credit for any exported energy.
Though roughly four times as large as the average residential project, requiring trenching between the house and barn for wiring, and backup storage for partial home backup, our team completed this project without a hitch and are happy to deliver such an attractive final product!
