95.3 kW Residence Solar Install in Prospect, Kentucky
This country residence in Prospect, KY, just outside of Louisville is three systems in one, all built out of LG 365W modules. These panels at 21.1% efficiency represent the pinnacle of current 60 celled home solar panel design and come with a full 25-year warranty on both power production and materials.
Three systems, covering the historic home, riding stables and a separate office, equipment hanger, and greenhouse are all individually net-metered to three separate accounts. Detailed panel level production reporting is included in the design fed both by Wi-Fi and for the more remote location cell linkage. Full integration was ensured to the large on-site propane backup generator.
The unusual ‘C’ shaped layout on the stable barn was a result of the old building structure having settled with time giving a 6” – 8” roof height change in some areas. The roof itself is very robustly constructed and much SES time was spent leveling both arrays to a fraction of an inch, but some parts had to be navigated around if the best aesthetic appeal was to be achieved.
At the current time, we believe this to be one of the largest private solar arrays in Kentucky and almost certainly the most efficient.
